Basic Operations:
1.Connect the speaker to a computer using the USB cable included
2.Use the Windows media player or any AV Player of the computer to playback media files, then the sound will come from the mini speaker.
3.Either use the computer system volume control slider to adjust the volume, or you can also directly control the volume within the media player.

I needed some speakers for my Macbook so we could watch films when we travel. Having read the reviews on here I sent of for some and two days later they arrived. I plugged them in and and they lit up and looked good, sat back to listen to some music and…..nothing! Tried the other USB port – same lights no sound! Damn! Got a duff pair!
Checked the instructions that came with them but no help there so got in touch with Apple support who told me what I needed to do. Go to System Preferences, select ‘Sound’, select ‘Output’, and with the speakers plugged in, select ‘USB Audio Device’. Instant success! You only have to do that the first time after which the system recognises the speakers each time they are plugged in.
The sound quality is amazing and the volume sufficient to play to a crowded room. For the price I doubt they could be beaten for performance or portability, but more comprehensive instructions about using them on various systems would be helpful. Would totally recommend them.

|Amazing speakers for the size, price and quality,
I have been amazed at the quality and volume of sound from these speakers. A friend commented the other day on the quality immediately. I had previously had other usb speakers but the quality and size and volume of these is incredible. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to have good sound for themselves and for others – up to 16 people in a room can hear perfectly, I have already proved it. Go for it – you won’t be disappointed. On Windows 7 the speakers came on automatically as with another laptop using XP.

|I needed a soundcard,
I needed a soundcard for a secondhand computer I bought. I saw these and thought at the price Im not losing much if they did not work. I dont like opening up the comp as Im not so confident about fitting an internal one. I was very surprised when I hooked them up, they worked straight out of the tin. Not a bad sound either. So if your looking for an alternative I would recommend these.
